Digital Director | Sen. Mark R. Warner | Washington, DC | November 2021-Present

  • Led digital strategy across eight platforms simultaneously, managing a rigorous short-form and long-form video strategy from end-to-end; writing copy for text-first platforms; coordinating livestreams; drafting and sending e-newsletters; and staging, shooting, and editing images and footage on a DSLR camera.

  • Achieved significant audience growth by leveraging analytics and platform-specific strategy, increasing Instagram followers by 244%, YouTube subscribers by 1,532%, and Facebook followers by 45%, while launching and growing Bluesky (93.8K followers) and Threads (129K followers) from zero. In the past year alone, generated 93 million Facebook impressions, 28.4 million Instagram views, and 12.3 million YouTube views.

  • Built and led the office’s influencer engagement strategy, securing interviews with dozens of leading digital creators to expand audience reach and engage new constituencies.

  • Responded to reporter inquiries and coordinated and staffed interviews with traditional media, including network TV hits.

  • Drafted press releases, floor speeches, and quotes for traditional media.

  • Staffed the Senator on multi-day travel around Virginia, capturing, editing, and publishing content in real time from the road, while simultaneously pitching reporters and staffing gaggles in all of Virginia’s 8 media markets.

  • Led the complete redesign of the Senator’s website, partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to improve usability, accessibility, and constituent engagement for millions of Virginians.

  • Design policy-based stills and GIFs for CAP Action’s 1.7 million+ followers, implementing data-driven design insights
