A women’s honorary on campus approached me about creating a series of promotional materials for their conference, called “She Leads” – an event for women, by women, dedicated to female empowerment.
I had to think of a way to visually represent that purpose, while remaining visually cohesive with “Lean On: Alabama,” its sister conference.
I decided to try and keep the color scheme consistent, but emphasize the role of women and the mission of the conference more.
I came up with eight ideas and passed them along to the leaders of the conference. Some were very visually consistent with “Lean On” and some were not.
I also included a font story, so they could select their favorite pairing.
The executive board picked their favorite design and font pairing, and I moved into the refinement stage, adjusting and adding details.
From here, I used the fonts and color schemes to create a group of visually cohesive products, including Facebook cover photos, registration graphics, Instagram stories,
